DuplexFix is a suite of free, browser-based tools that solve common printing problems. Our flagship tool, DuplexReady, fixes manual duplex (double-sided) printing by automatically reordering your PDF pages. More tools are launching soon.
Is DuplexFix really free? What's the catch?
No catch. Every DuplexFix tool is completely free — no sign-up, no account, no file size limits. We fund development through optional affiliate links to printing products on Amazon. You're never required to click or buy anything.
Do my files get uploaded to your servers?
Never. DuplexFix tools run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. Your PDF is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server. You can verify this by opening your browser's Developer Tools Network panel — you will see zero file upload requests.
What's the difference between DuplexFix and DuplexReady?
DuplexFix is the overall brand and product family. DuplexReady is DuplexFix's first tool — the one that fixes manual duplex printing. Think of DuplexFix as the ecosystem, and DuplexReady as one tool within it. More tools (Booklet Mode, Browser Extension, Print Shop Tools) are coming under the DuplexFix brand.
Which printers does DuplexFix work with?
Any printer that supports manual duplex printing — which is virtually all inkjet and laser printers, including models from HP, Canon, Brother, Epson, and others. DuplexFix produces a standard PDF file that you print exactly like any other document. There is nothing printer-specific to configure.
Does DuplexFix work on mobile phones and tablets?
Yes. DuplexFix tools are fully responsive and work in modern mobile browsers including Safari on iPhone and iPad, and Chrome on Android. Printing from a mobile device may require a compatible printer app, but the PDF processing works perfectly on any modern smartphone.
